SongWriter is a multimedia creative project that turns stories into songs.

Created and hosted by Ben Arthur, SongWriter brings together writers, musicians, scientists, and other creative voices to explore stories, ideas, and human experiences through conversation and original music.

SongWriter exists as:

- international adaptations

## Creative approach

SongWriter has developed a creative methodology in which stories, ideas, and lived experiences inspire exploration across disciplines through conversation and original songwriting.

While every episode is different, the project frequently combines:

## Themes

SongWriter explores themes including:

Since 2024, SongWriter has been supported by grants from Templeton World Charity Foundation to explore the relationship between artistic creativity and the science of human flourishing.

In 2026, excerpts from SongWriter will be included in research led by Columbia neuroscientist Dr. Meghan Meyer investigating how artistic storytelling may enhance scientific learning.

SongWriter's creative methodology is also being adapted by teams in Brazil, Turkey, and The Bahamas.
